When my mentor suggested I take Dr. Kilkus’ course on self-compassion and resilience, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect or how applicable the content would be to my personal situation. I’m very happy to report that our sessions were hugely helpful, both in terms of offering broader insights for the whole group and clarity around my own situation. Dr. Kilkus does a masterful job of blending evidence-based information and practical tools with a uniquely calming, compassionate and interactive style that allows each person to take away what he/she needs.
I found a great deal of value in the material and the discussions and I would happily recommend this course to anyone wanting to become more knowledgeable and confident in working in a field which most would regard as extremely challenging.
This was an engaging, comprehensive presentation and discussion of cancer treatment and the role of psychological concepts and interventions in managing the side-effects of that treatment. Dr. Kilkus is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable in the area.
