Dr. Jennifer Kilkus is a board-certified clinical health psychologist with a background in serious and chronic illness and a passion for improving quality of life for both patient and providers. She is an experienced mindfulness practitioner and facilitator. She is always looking to expand her learning and is currently enrolled in a mindfulness facilitator program emphasizing trauma and social justice-informed mindfulness facilitation at Copper Beech Institute in Hartford, Connecticut. She has witnessed the ever-increasing demands on mental health and health care staff and hopes to offer practical strategies for managing these demands while actively advocating for system-level change.

Dr. Kilkus is an authentic instructor who values a model of shared learning rather than an “instructor knows all” “top down” approach. She hopes to facilitate approaches that can be tailored to each person’s unique needs and preferences. Rather than presenting mindfulness as a panacea with a goal of becoming a peaceful, calm, person, Dr. Kilkus emphasizes mindfulness practice as one available tool to help you connect to your genuine self.
