Compassionate, engaged, and tailored to you
Individual therapy services
What I offer
I help people struggling with stress due to illness or working within the healthcare field to develop greater acceptance, self-compassion, and ease.
I specialize in working with people coping with cancer and healthcare providers experiencing burnout. I particularly love to work with ‘Type A’ personalities, those who struggle with self-criticism, and those that want to learn to prioritize themselves. I am passionate about empowering others to make decisions that help improve their quality of life.
If you’re ready to make a change, send me a note and let’s connect.
What to know
-
I rely on evidence-based therapies like acceptance and commitment therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. I tailor these interventions to you and typically use a combination of different strategies to be as helpful as possible. I appreciate that everything occurs in sociocultural context and incorporate how your cultural experiences may inform your challenges.
We will work together to decide on how often and how long to meet based on your needs and your assessment of progress.
-
I am endlessly curious and have a conversational style, so therapy with me tends to be more back-and-forth than ‘sitting and nodding.’ People I work with tell me they experience me as genuine, kind, and accepting.
I show up as fully myself (humor, cursing, and all) and hope you will, too.
-
The standard fee for a 50 minute session is $175 and I am happy to adjust rates depending on what feels manageable.
I do not take insurance for a variety of reasons (there’s a good article about this here), but I am happy to provide documentation to be submitted to your insurance provider to be applied toward your out of network benefits.

I am licensed in the state of Connecticut and also hold an out-of-state telehealth license in the state of Florida. I can only conduct therapy with individuals in these states.
I do not have a physical office and conduct visits via HIPAA compliant platform. That means it will be important for me to know where you are located for each session and who a good emergency contact may be. I will also ask that you make an effort to be somewhere private with as little distraction as possible.
Because I work on my own, it will also be essential for us to develop a plan for how you’ll cope if you’re overwhelmed or in a crisis and I’m not available. We’ll talk about your expectations and how I can meet them while allowing each of us to take the best care of ourselves as possible.
I will always be honest with you and I hope you’ll be honest with me, too. That means you can tell me when you’re frustrated or something isn’t working and I’ll do my best to try to adjust. If either of us decides it’s not a good fit, that’s perfectly okay - we’ll work together to figure out the best next steps.
